What is a Motion Designer?

This project is the culmination of my Master’s year in Motion Design at ESMA, Montpellier.
It aims to shed light on the profession of motion designer through my own perspective on the craft and its creative process. My intention was to illustrate the wide range of skills involved in this discipline, from graphic design to animation, through visual storytelling, and to show how they merge to bring ideas to life.

My main inspiration came from the work of Oddfellows, especially their Creativity Explained series. I immersed myself in their artistic direction and storytelling approach, adapting it to my subject while adding my own creative touch.

This work stands both as a tribute to the motion design world and as a reflection on how we, as creatives, translate our ideas into moving images that captivate and communicate.
